STAY HERE

Sleep Under Big Skies

Designed for unplugging, stargazing, and slow living—but yes, we’ve got WiFi if you’re on a workcation. Our accommodation is designed for people who value space, stories, and starry skies — not swimming pools or room service. Come for the quiet. Stay for the connection. Whether you're rolling in with a camper, chasing a quiet cabin, or looking for a spot to work remotely with a better view, we've got space for you to settle in.

Cabins: Simple, comfy, and air-conditioned — perfect for two. Choose from Double or Twin setups. All linen included. Shared bathrooms. Two-night minimum, just enough time to really exhale.

Big Bertha: Our cosy onsite van — powered, prepped, and perfect for families. Sleeps two adults and two littlies under 10. She's got charm, shade, and a front-row seat to the sunset.

Camping: Drive-through powered sites plus plenty of unpowered space to pick your own perfect pitch. Want views? Shade? Sunrise? Take your pick — there’s room to spread out.Gilgooma is a working family farm offering a low-impact farmstay — simple, spacious, and grounded in real bush life. Set out in the wide open west, this is where you can unplug from the daily noise, stretch out under a big sky, and reconnect with the land (and yourself, if you’re into that).

Whether you're here for a few nights off-grid, or keen to get your boots dirty with one of our paddock experiences, we’ve set things up to keep you comfortable without losing the raw beauty of the place.

As the site is often unstaffed, bookings are essential so we can prep for your arrival — whether that’s stacking the firewood or warming the artesian bath. You’ll get all the info you need before you arrive.

Facilities

  • Everything you need, and nothing you don’t:

    • Toilets and hot showers – clean, simple, reliable.

    • Potable water – straight from the farm’s supply.

    • Artesian bath trough – soak in mineral-rich water piped from deep underground (BYO bubbles or cold beer).

    • Camp kitchen – under cover and stocked with:

      • Hot water, BBQ, pizza oven

      • Fridge, convection/microwave oven, blender

      • Cutlery, crockery, and the basics (yes, we’ve got a bottle opener)

    • Communal fire pit – weather-permitting, and yes, we can help with firewood.

    • Rubbish & recycling points – let’s keep the paddocks clean.

    • Unplugged bush backdrop – no mobile reception, which most folks love.

    • Unlimited Wi-Fi – for those who need to stay in touch, or upload a few star shots.

We’ve put together a few DIY itineraries with hidden gems, secret drives, and nearby pubs or bakeries worth the detour. They’re only available to guests and come from lived experience, not a brochure.

Use Gilgooma as your base, or just stay put and settle into the rhythm of the farm. Either way, you’ll get a genuine taste of real rural Australia — friendly, a little dusty, and never rushed.
