THE LEGACY

The Village

While Gilgooma is the name of one of the farms our family lives and works on, it’s also the name of a 'village' 35km north of Coonamble. The village of Gilgooma used to boast a school, sawmill, tennis courts, cricket oval, church and Sunday school. There were regular get-togethers and thriving community which included our ancestors.

Today, just a couple of houses and the Soldier’s Memorial Gates remain.
